Your neighbors have recently written to you to complain about the noise from your house flat.
Write a letter to your neighbors. In your letter:
- explain the reasons for the noise
- apologise for the noise
- describe what action you will take
Dear Sir,
I have got to know about the trouble that you have been facing because of us and I expect you will accept my apologies. The loud noise has been a constant source of annoyance to you for the entire week but we have been renovating our kitchen cabinets, due to which there is wood work going on.
We have hired a contractor for the renovation work. He and his subordinates have been very annoying, they are not working efficiently and anyways extending the deadline of the work. However, many times we have asked the carpenter to quickly finish the task. As we both are working, they are not concerned to wrap up the work soon.
It is important to me not to let our neighbors down. For that matter, I have taken two days off from my work following the weekend, which will allow me to spend four days to get the work done faster. Moreover, we have asked the carpenter to work only at intervals that is from 10am till 5pm.
Next time, I will make better use of time whenever there is any such work which creates noise.
