WRITING TASK-1 (ACADEMIC)-DIAGRAM 14

The diagram below shows the life cycle of the honey bee.

The diagram enlightens about the different stages a female honey bee goes through in their entire life span. Their life cycle is usually 34-36 days long.

The cycle commences with a female laying an egg, a healthy mature female oftenly lays 1 or 2 eggs every three days. These eggs can take up to 9-10 days to hatch. Once the newborns are out of their egg shells, they grow at a slow rate for next five days. As for the following seven days, the nymph moults can grow about 3 times.

Significant growth is noted for the next nine days as the bees reach their young adult phase during this time. They keep on growing for the next 96 hours, after this stage they are mature enough to lay their own eggs. The entire cycle take about 34-36 days to culminate. A new cycle starts over as the previous one ends.
