Libraries are almost deserted everywhere since people prefer using websites. Some say seriousness towards long reading is no longer relevant while others believe without long reading maturity of thought cannot happen. What do you think?
Literature is considered to be an epitome of the in-depth knowledge which enhances the thought process and churns the mind. Websites offer the concise form of the same showing only what is needed while the books include the rationalities around the thought. I believe that the brain is developed by not knowing the information but understanding it including all the parameters which are offered by the hard literature in the libraries.
Starting with, the books are a reliable source of information as they are written with screening after researching well on the topic and thus, they include the reasoning behind every statement which helps in understanding the implementation of the concept better. Further, comprehensive reading may help in developing ideas with a fresh perspective as the facts from every other perspective are known to the reader in all the aspects.
On the other hand, the web is open to every user and the literature there may or may not be researched well in its authenticity which leads to false information imparted to the readers. For instance, Wikipedia is a source of data for many students but any person can edit it with their sense of judgement. Also, the content on the websites is summarized discouraging the user to dwell on the elaborate work stagnating the mind to any further thought.
In conclusion, the manifestation of ideas is possible with the deep analysis of every parameter given by the books in the libraries. While the websites may offer the starting point to understand a concept, the unfurling of the thought comes with the research of the same by detailed study.
