 Endangered = dying out; becoming extinct

 Venomous = poisonous

Domesticated = tamed / not wild/kept as a pet

Herbivorous = plant eating animal

Carnivorous =  meat eating animal

Omnivorous = having qualities of both plant eating animal and meat eating animal

Counterparts = one remarkably similar to another

Harmoniously = in a friendly and peaceful way

Veterinary connected with the medical treatment of sick or injured animal species

Thrive = grow /flourish

Predator = animal that kills and eat other species 

Vulnerable = that can be easily hurt/weak 

Nocturnal = active or awake at night 

Dwindle = become smaller or fewer

Habitat = the natural home of a plant or animal species / natural territory

Prey =  a species that is killed and eaten by others

Survival = continuing to life or exist

Co-exist = live in the same time or place

Abandon = leave permanently / desert/ foresake /give up

Captivity = the state of being locked up

Cruelty = behavior that causes pain/cruel behaviour

Sanctuary = a safe or  protected place where birds or animals are protected from being hunt

Defence = reaction to attack/ self-protection/ act in order to protect against an attack

Conservation = protecting something/not allowing to be destroyed
