 The table shows the worldwide market share of the mobile phone market for manufactures in the years 2005 and 2006.

 Sample 1:

The table illustrates the percentage of sales shared on the global level by the mobile phone companies namely: Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, BenQ Mobile, LG and some other brands for two successive years, that is, 2005 and 2006.

It can be seen from the table, the companies like Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson have shown some increase in their sales in the year 2006 as compared to the previous year. Whereas, brands like Samsung, BenQ Mobile and LG slid down a bit in their purchase for the same period.

In 2005, Nokia ruled the market with the highest sale of 32.5% followed by Motorola and Samsung at 17.7% and 12.7%, respectively. The companies like Sony Ericsson, LG and BenQ Mobiles have not had the same influence as the other gaints in the field selling at mere 6.3%, 6.7% and 4.9%, respectively. Other brands had a significant purchase noted at 19.2%.

In 2006, Nokia following the same trend as before dominated all with 35% sales. Motorola and Sony Ericsson showed signs of improvement jumping to 21.1% and 7.4% from 17.7% and 6.3%, respectively, from last year. However, Samsung, LG and BenQ Mobile suffered downfall in their purchase finishing at 11.8%, 6.3%  and 2.4%, sequentially. Same goes for other brands ending up at a low of 16.2%.

Sample 2:

The table data demonstrates the global market share in 2005 and 2006 with respect to leading mobile manufacturers. Overall, in 2005 and 2006, Nokia had the highest global market share of mobile phones. It is clear that  the market shares of Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson had an increase in 2006 as compared to their proportion of shares in 2005.

As can be seen from the table, Nokia had the largest share, nearly one-third of the total, in 2005. In the following year, the brand saw an upsurge of 2.5%. Motorola had about the second highest market share in 2005, just a bit over 17%. In the succeeding year, this share increased roughly by 4%. Samsung managed to maintain its third position, despite a decrease to 11.8% in 2006 as compared to the 12.7% in the last year.

Considering other brands, Sony Ericsson and LG had a bit more than 6% market share in 2005. In the subsequent year, while Sony Ericsson had an increase by 1%, LG had to bear a decrease. BenQ Mobile had the lowest market share, and their shares also dropped to half in 2006 in comparison to 2005.

The combined market shares of all the other manufacturers was more than 19% in 2005 but decreased to slightly over 16%, considering that Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson secured a significant part.
