PRACTICAL HINTS ON IELTS ESSAY WRITING

1. The subject of your essay should be clearly defined in your mind.

2.  All the points  relating to subject that arise in your mind are noted prior to producing the draft.

3. These points are classified and organised well; irrelevant ideas are rejected.

4. These selected points are organised in an outline, and the ideas are arranged in a  logical order.

5. Following this, a draft is prepared that contains an INTRODUCTION, BODY PARAGRAPHS and a  CONCLUSION.

6. The final draft is then revised. Check for grammatical accuracy, word limit, content  as well as spellings.

7. Each body paragraph should consist of ideas and sentences that are closely  related to one another.

8. The essay is written in a simple, concise, clear, direct and natural style.

9. Make sure that you answer every part of the question.

10. Don't use any sort of short forms in essay.
